Materials needed:
For whole bag including strap in one fabric:
1 yard (95cm) of 60” (154cm) wide or 1¼ yard (115cm) of 44” (112cm) wide fabric
To make with a purchased strap, you will need:
¾ yard (70cm) of 60” (154cm) wide, or 1 yard (95cm) of 44” (112cm) wide fabric
For all combinations, you will need:
¾ yard (70cm) of 44” (112cm) wide lining fabric
¾ yard (70cm) of 44” (112cm) wide firm sew-in interfacing (and optional of batting)
2/3 yard (65cm) of 36” (92cm) wide fusible interfacing
40” x 5” (105cm x 14cm) of fusible web (or interfacing)
1 magnetic snap
2 or 3 big buttons, or six small buttons
For purchased handle:
Long leather or vinyl strap ¾” (2cm) wide and approx. 36” (92cm) long
Piece of fusible web approx. 5” x 4” (13 x 10cm) for tabs
You will also need:
Sticky tape (to join pattern templates)
Sewing machine
Pins
Scissors
Fabric marker pen, pencil or chalk
Thread to match fabric
